A overhead passes the ball to B. B overhead passes the ball backwards to C and immediately switches positions with A. C overhead passes the ball to A (who is now in the middle) and the drill continues as before.
- The person in the middle can choose to play the ball forwards or backwards. He switches positions with the player that did not receive the ball.
- The person in the middle can decide to set the ball backwards or spike it forwards. He switches position with the player that did not receive the ball.
