In this variant of the pepper, two players dig the hit. A starts by setting to B. B can choose to hit the ball in the direction of A or C. In the example, the ball is hit towards C. C digs the ball back towards B, after which B sets the ball to C.

A moves next to B. A and B defend the ball hit by C. The player who digs, plays the ball towards C, and gets a set from C. The exercise continues like this.
